Heart Breaking News!

You know when you are unsure about a product, you get a sample size. But once you've used it a couple times you just fall in love with it and don't want it to ever go away. But then you run out if the sample!!

Well.. That happened to me a few days ago. I fell in love with the Benefit Hellow Flawless Foundation. But I ran out of my sample! I'm so sad. Because I'm really just too broke to go buy a full version of it right now. I'm really tempted to go back and ask for another sample. Especially since I am getting tan an I'm not quite sure what my shade is anymore. I'm usually Ivory, but I have gotten some color the past few days, and now I'm not exactly sure if I'm dark enough for the next shade or if I'm still ok with the one I was.

Decisions decisions. But! I'm still so upset that I ran out. I literally cried.

I spent a good 5-7 minutes getting every last drop out of that bottle so my face would be even.

That is literally every last drop I managed to get out of the little bottle.

It's a sad sad day in this lady's life.

Changes: Hair Update.

Hey guy! I know it's been a long time since I've updated this. I've been super busy with life. And just haven't even thought about this.

But, I'm back. And I'm going to try to update this on a regular basis.

So.. Something new that's happened in my life.. I dyed my hair red!! It's something I've wanted to do for a long time, and I've always go back to a red-tinted color but I've never actually been able to fully commit to the red hair out if fear it wouldn't look good, that I was going to have to bleach my hair first, and I am never going to do that again. But, I was on YouTube looking at how to lighten hair without bleach because I had dyed my hair black in late February/early March, and I was just over the dark hair, I needed a change but wasn't going to just go and chop off my hair like I normally do because I have been working so hard on growing my hair out. I somehow came across a video on how to dye your hair red without bleach, and I clicked on it on a whim. I then watched like 8 videos on all these different ways, most people lightening their hair with a blonde box dye and then a few days later using a red to acheive their end goal, but I saw a couple who used the Loreal HiColor HiLights for dark hair only and decided that that was the best choice for me.

*Disclousure* Since I did have to use a developer, I did technically "bleach" my hair because this color does have bleach in it activated by the developer.

Something you also need to remember, red dye has the largest cells, so it is hard to keep because everytime it gets wet it will lost the color faster. So if you cannot afford to upkeep this, I would not recommend dying your hair.

I would also recommend getting a red shampoo and conditioner made for red hair only. The red shampoo/conditioner will deposit red hair color back in I your hair, just like when you bleach your hair it's recommended that you get a blue/purple shampoo to help upkeep the blonde. To help your color keep, besides the red shampoo and conditioner made for red hair, you should wash and rinse your hair in cold water only.

With that knowledge I went to a local small beauty ship that's way cheaper than my local Sally's and bought what I needed.

The Loreal HiColor HiLights for Dark Hair only in RED

And also the Loreal Oreor Creme Developer in 30 Volume

My measuring container for the developer so I knew I was using the right amount, the one that I bought has OZ on one side and ML on the other, so I just made sure to use the OZ side for the correct amount

I also just bought a brush wand thing to apply the product to my hair

I then just used a disposable bowl and mixed the dye with the developer- 2:1 ratio. My hair dye container is a 1.2oz bottle so I used 3.4oz of the developer.

I just added it to my hair, tip to root. The box said to leave it on for 30 minutes. So I did, I rinsed it out, and because my hair was so dark, it hardly did anything, even to my roots, especially since my natural hair color is a dark brown/black color.

So, I waited 24 hours and then did it again, tip to root. This time, I did my entire head, but only from the top of my ears down did I do the roots. The top of my hair, I only did the tip and middle. I let it sit for 10 minutes and then I added the dye to my roots on the side and top of my hair and let it sit for 35 minutes, making the total hair color time, 45 minutes instead of the recommendation of 30 minutes.

This time, my roots came out a brighter red while the rest of my hair was still dark but with a really dark red tint. In the sun, it's almost the same color. But, in a few days, I will be re-dying the tips/middle of my hair to hopefully make my hair a more even red color. These are a before and after the second round of color photo. I will 100% update you guys once I get it to my desired color.

Before; My Black Hair:

After; Two Rounds of Dye:

My hair is splotchy because I did dye my hair by myself without help an without a second mirror to see how the back turned out, that's another reason I will be doing a 3rd round.

Something I think people forget, is that our hair is a living creature, and just like the skin, if you cut just an inch or even half and inch off out hair, sends signals that it has been damaged and it needs extra cells to help heal the broken.

With all that said, I am not a professional. I just did research and asked my friend who does hair for a living, and decide that this would be te best way for me personally. I recommend that you do the research and make the decision that would be best for your hair.

I hope you enjoyed this long blog about how I did my hair. I will be trying to keep up with this. Good night my loves, enjoy the weekend and be safe.

Beauty Blender is... Amazing!!

So I went to Sephora with my mom yesterday and she bought me a beauty blender. While we were checking out, they realized that I had had a birthday and got my birthday gift thing, which was a mini Make Up Forever mascara in Smokey Extravagent and a mini Make Up Forever lipstick in the shade Rouge. Than I went to Macys to use the $25 gift card I had received for my birthday and bought myself the Benefit Fake It concelour in shade 1: Light. I also received a sample of the Hello Flawless Foundation in the shade Ivory. I'm a white girl. I'm aware. Lol

I just used them all and I love the products!!

That was my beauty blender before I got it wet, which is how you're supposed to use it.

This is the same picture, but it's after y beauty blender was damp.

You can see that it grew in size. I started with my primer, and than put the foundation on my hand and used the bottom, more rounded part of the beauty blender to pick up the product and started to blend it on my face in a dabbing motion. I than used the fake up concelour, and used the top, pointed side of the beauty blender to blend the concelour to my foundation. I than added my NYX HD Studio finishing powder over my face and a bronzed blush tht my best friend gave me to add color to my cheeks. I finally curled my lashes, used the Make Up Forever mascara, which indecisive if I like it or not, and that lipstick to try it out. I'm also indecisive on the color of the lipstick. But, I love my new concelour and foundation and my beauty blender. Best $56 of my life (:

I love how natural and dewy the makeup becomes when using the damp beauty blender. It's just a great, more natural, lighter look for makeup.

That is me, after the makeup. My face is red because I had given myself a mini facial earlier. And my skin will just stay red for a coup days and the only way to cover it really is to use a super heavy fu
Coverage foundation which feels too heavy for me.

My Night Routine

Hey guys! I know its been a while since I've posted a blog. I've just had a lot of stuff going on. I went through a breakup, and some stuff.. So I just haven't felt like doing anything let alone blogging...

But.. My night time routine.. So.. One of my New Years Resolutions was to get into a better skin care regimen. Its now the 18th, and I'm still not doing much better. BUT I have hit the skin care thing like 3 times this week, which is a big improvement for me. So.. here we go..

In order for me to really enjoy this, I do it later in the night, and I get in the bath for a little and just relax my mind and body. I put on John Mayer Pandora station

and scroll on my Instagram or my Tumblr. I text friends who are still awake with me or go on my Pinterest. Sometimes I watch YouTube videos. Once that is done. I get out, dry off and throw on my pajamas, and if I remember, I will put lotion on my body with my awesome baby lotion for my sensitive skin. Once I've gotten dressed, I throw my hair up and head back to the bathroom.

Once I'm there, I pull out my Rodan and Fields skin care stuff.

I start with taking off my makeup. Now, tonight, I didn't go anywhere except to dinner with my mom and brother, so I only had a little eye makeup on. I take off my makeup.

Then I move on to the exfoliant face wash, (which is to be used only once a week), and wash my face. Scrub, scrub, scrub, I rinse and ahh, my face feels better.

I then go to the Daily Cleaning Mask. I put that on, and go on my Facebook for the 3 minutes that needs to sit and harden. I rinse that off and my face is red and tingly and I know its going to thank me in a few minutes.

Than comes the Pore Minimizer. I know you are supposed to use the cotton pads, but I ran out and am too lazy to get more so I'm using toilet paper. I add that and really message it into my cheeks and nose area where my pores are larger.

Then finally here comes the Moisturizer. I use the one specific for the night. I take a little and dot that in 5 or 6 places on my face and then I get to rubbing it all in. Ah, my face feels so much better with the cold.

Finally off to brushing your teeth. I try to start brushing my teeth at the beginning of a song and stay brushing for the entire song. I had a dentist tell me that how long your supposed to brush for.

Once that is done, I put everything back into its rightful place and head into my room and get settled into bed. If I don't just pass out right away, I throw my phone on the charger and I will either 1. Turn on the TV and watch my TiVo of the Food Network or HGTV  2. I will read some of the books I am currently reading; yes you read that right. BOOKS, as in more than 1. I'm attempting to read 2 books right now 3. I will get on my phone and watch a show on Netflix or get back on a social media sight 4. I will just relax and listen to Pandora until I fall asleep or 5. I will do neither and go make a midnight snack or sometimes I get a call and leave to go pick up a friend or something..

Well, thats my nighttime routine. I hope you guys enjoyed reading about what I do before I get to sleep. I hope you all enjoy your weekend and enjoy 2014!!
