Hey y'all! So for my first blog on here, I decided I was going to do the Sweater Weather tag. I've been seeing this all over blogs and on YouTube, and I actually love this particular tag. I am getting my questions off of 3 or 4 different peoples blogs, so some of my questions might not be in the exact same order or what you would think they would be, but for the most part its the same for 90% of the questions.. But, with that, lets jump right in. (:
Sweater Weather tag <3
1. Favorite Candle Scent?
Well, I love Vanilla in general, but for the fall/winter I adore anything Pumpkin and Cranberry scented. I don't buy candles very often, but I do like to buy them between mid/late September to early/mid January when all the seasonal candles are around.
2. Coffee, tea or hot chocolate?
I love tea, but I'd have to say home made hot chocolate is my downfall. I'm a sucker for a nice hot cup of chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows.
3. What's the best Autumn memory you have?
The only one I can think of is when we used to go to the pumpkin patch and pick out our pumpkins, go home carve them and get our seeds ready to eat the next day. The next day when we were doing our pumpkin seeds, my dad used to decorate our house with crazy Halloween lights(skeletons, pumpkins ghosts) and he would decorate our porch and yard.
4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: winged liner or dark lips?
Winged liner 100% for me. I love the way they make my eyes look, I'm a quarter Korean, so they give me that extra Almondy look that I adore. I love the dark lips, but with my weird yellow undertones, I tend to stick to a more natural color.
5. Do you switch up your makeup routine for the season?
Not really. The only "switching" I really do is that when I wear makeup, its more of a "smokey" look rather then the more natural look I normally go for unless I'm going to a bar or something.
6. Favorite Thanksgiving food?
Turkey! I love the bird. That and mashed potato/stuffing with gravy overload. I could live without the other stuff. Those are always the things you see me going back for seconds and thirds and fourth for. I pretty much eat those 2 things until I can't eat anymore, and I eat them all weekend. Its horrible and yummy.
7. Hats or Scarves?
Scarves 100%. I don't like hats, they make my head itch, and it prevents me from throwing my hair in a pony or bun when it just starts to annoy me. Scarves are amazing because they add some extra color or pattern and most importantly, warmth to your outfit when the nights start to get chilly.
8. What is Autumn weather like where you live?
I live in Southern California(Orange County), so we don't really get autumn. I mean, if you see a tree that doesn't just automatically go bald once it drops below 75 degrees, we get the change of colors and its beautiful and amazing. But, right now, besides our, maybe 5 or 6 "rainy" days, its pretty much been 75+ all autumn/winter so far. I am blessed to live in such a pretty and warm place, but I wish we had more of a seasonal change, because it pretty much looks the same all year, its just getting colder.
9. Most worn sweater?
I love my normal hoodie. I have a giant over sized black one, or my USC one. But, I did go to Target and buy some sweaters and my favorite one is my cream colored with black stripes one. But, my "holiday" one is second behind that one. They are both my "go to look" when I'm in a rush.
10. Must have nail polish for this fall/winter?
Red. I love red on my nails. I love this look all year round. Red is just a classic color, but I just adore it this time of year, its festive without trying, and looks good with everything. But second is silver or black, and its the same reasons, its just a more festive color that goes well with most outfits and gives you that extra festive-ness without really trying.
11. Football games or jumping in a pile of leaves?
I've never personally jumped into a pile of leaves, living in Orange County, Ca, we don't really have those leaves to jump into. So FOOTBALL! Football is just something I've been watching every fall/winter since I can remember. My dads a Raiders fan, so we've always watched their game and NFL Sundays/Mondays were a "you have no choice" thing until I was like 12. At least, thats how I remember it.
12. Skinny jeans or leggings?
I'd have to say both? I love leggings when I'm lounging at my boyfriends, my parents, friends houses or my house, but I love my skinny jeans when I'm out. I'm a plus size girl, so I try to save people from having to look at my jello thighs in public. (I just really wish Yoga Pants were an option, because I would pick those any day of the week.)
13. Boos or Uggs?
Uggs. I love Uggs, they are ugly as hell, but they keep my feet so warm. I also have freaklishly small ankles and rather large calves, so I just stick to Uggs because they stretch around my weird parts and make my legs just look more even. But I do love me some boots when I can find ones that do my legs justice.
14. Do you have a song(s) that get you in the mood for fall/winter or just a song that your loving at the moment?
Christmas Music. It always just gets me in the, Holy Crap, its finally here mood.
15. What is your #1 FAVORITE thing about fall/winter?
Cuddling. Its just too hot any other time to really cuddle unless you have the air on, but in the fall/winter its cold and you can cuddle and not just over heat and hate each others body heat. Oh, there's the food and the decorations also. I love those just as much as cuddling.
16. Is Pumpkin Spice really worth the hype?
I wouldn't know. I don't like Pumpkin flavored anything unless its a candle. But my best friend Hailey told it was one time. But, I personally don't know. I think its just a way for them to bump up prices on certain thing because its only around for a limited time. Lol
